kanye west, blog Now that awards show crybaby Kanye West is giving MTV the silent treatment, he won't shut up on his new blog.

The hip hop artist swore off MTV after losing out yet again at the channel's Music Video Awards, and since then, he's been working overtime to post on his site. Yesterday alone, Kanye posted five times. He's a regular Michael Crichton.

What's Kanye blogging about? Everything from his fave YouTube clips (he's a big fan of Feist and Brit indie band Bat for Lashes), to his favorite sneakers. But Kanye's favorite subject? Himself, of course. The blog is chock full of pics, videos and news clips confirming Kanye as "the king of rap."

22. I saw this man perform last night on Saturday Night Live and he was gawd awful. Rap sucks so bad. Rappers are overpaid, no-talent losers who cannot sing. He should be lucky to even be earning a paycheck. He should stop his bitching and realize how fortunate that he is.

25. He is turning into the MC Hammer of his Generation...popular for now, but soon forgotten and bankrupt and who has to change his name to help us forget how untalented he was/is.

Enjoy the limelight for now Kanye for History is second only to Nature in being unforgiving.

If you posess an ounce of business accumen, you will realize just on this board alone the tally is running something like 2 who partially favor you and 27 who would just as soon see you leave the business.

Take your "art" to a starving artists sale or play in free amatuer nights if you cant ditch the tude. Soon the paying public will turn on you at the cash register.

27. What is a Hate Crime?

The Criminal Code of Canada says a hate crime is committed to intimidate, harm or terrify not only a person, but an entire group of people to which the victim belongs. The victims are targeted for who they are, not because of anything they have done.

Hate crimes involve intimidation, harassment, physical force or threat of physical force against a person, a family or a property.

Sections 318 and 319 of the Criminal Code of Canada address hate crimes.

Under Section 318, it is a criminal act to "advocate or promote genocide" - to call for, support, encourage or argue for the killing of members of a group based on colour, race, religion or ethnic origin. As of April 29, 2004, when Bill C-250, put forward by NDP MP Svend Robinson, was given royal assent, "sexual orientation" was added to that list.

Section 319 deals with publicly stirring up or inciting hatred against an identifiable group based on colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. It is illegal to communicate hatred in a public place by telephone, broadcast or through other audio or visual means. The same section protects people from being charged with a hate crime if their statements are truthful or the expression of a religious opinion.

The law (subparagraph 718.2(a)(i), to be specific) encourages judges to consider in sentencing whether the crime was motivated by hate of: the victim's race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation or any other similar factor.
